There are a lot of "Conspiracy theory" fears today involving a corrupt government planning a second great depression, killing its citizens though many varied means to engineer population control, etc. I’m too young to have heard any of the older ones if they existed. It would certainly comfort me to hear that in the 60’s, everyone believed aliens were going to invade because of a series of films being presented the the American public, or, I don’t know, anything else less "out there."

Implanting neurons is one of the things that Scientology would be totally against. They have hated psychiatry since the 1950’s and things like lobotomies and electro-shock therapies. Anything that changes the person instead of trying to find the reason and curing it.
