It is in America’s best interest to have Ahmadinejad stay in power and keep shooting off his big mouth, as so far this has kept Iran (and its oil) out of the SCO. Iran was a founding member of OPEC, btw. The end goal of the U.S. and our allies is to keep Iran in OPEC.
