Do you believe there is a mass Conspiracy amongst the scientific community to disprove your religion?
Do you honestly believe the majority of credible, intelligent adults who are committed to uncovering the truths of how our world/universe works, share a common goal of trying to disprove Christianity through theories such as that of evolution?
If so, why attempt to disprove Christianity? Why not one of the other hundreds of religions? Don’t you think this assumption is a bit arrogant? Not only in the fact that Christianity would be the one religion they are trying to disprove, but also to think that they would waste so much time and resources attempting to do so.
Stop woman !!!
Stop with your common sense and straight talk (no relation to McCain) …
Your confusing me … I don’t want knowledge … I want to live my life in my delusional little box and plug my ears and yell …”lalalalalalal” whenever someone tries to talk logic …
now go away with your heathen ways …
PS- If you’d like to practice your heathens ways on someone I’m available on Friday ….

no its just a few fools listening to satan….they might not waste time…it wont help them… they know deep down Jesus is the real deal..

Not directly. Scientists are committed to uncovering the truths of how our world/universe works, like you said. If that disproves religion or anything else, so be it.

No evolution is just simple deception by those who reject the truth of Scripture.

No, because those who form a conspiracy know the truth and try to hide it. Scientests just don’t know the truth.

I think that you may be living proof that we’re devolving as opposed to evolving.
Wake up…

I do not believe that it is a conspiracy to disprove any religion. I don’t believe biologists and other scientists are going into a room saying" Lets deceive the world." I do believe however, that many parts of science are not open minded just as much as this question is opinionated. Plus, scientists aren’t the ones using science to disprove anyone’s faith; that would only be hateful atheist radicals.

While I don’t subscribe to a mass conspiracy theory, I do believe that many scientists allow their world view to color their research.
If I have a world view that has an a priori assumption that there is no God, then that attitude will creep in to my research. Since I "know" that there is no God, I will not be able to acknowledge that He is somehow responsible for whatever I am researching.
It’s merely a matter of world view, not conspiracy.

I am a scientist and a Christian so the question is ruined in its premises.

no i don’t think that its a big conspiracy i just think that the scientific community has listend to lies so long that they believe that what they know is undeniable truth. as for if it is an attack on just Christians nope its an attack on God as a whole.

Apparently "The Devil Makes ‘em do it."
Seriously only people who worship the bible are afraid that God is going to evaporate if people realize that the first eleven chapters of Genesis are ancient Hebrew mythology.

No.
I do believe science, if it is intellectually honest, will actually end up proving the existence of God.

Scientists are funded by the state and government. The merely seek to prove or disprove what the funding requires. They are also at the mercy of Industry who requires validity of product viability and thus their task is to reinforce specific information usually for a cause, purpose and task other than humanities evolving.
The State has undermined the Church which was hitherto its staunch rival in power and dominance of the hearts and minds of people. Scientists aren’t a league or lobby, they at this juncture are persons assigned to endorse with evidence preconceived theories and seek remedies for newly concocted diseases largely for the generation of business, product sales and business.
Indeed suspicions of Science holding all information are valid and released according to state instructions. These findings are detrimental to present views and as yet falsifiable and thereby inconclusive.

No, I definitely don’t think that science disproves my religion, nor do I think that scientists purposefully attempt to negate it. My personal belief is that there are a myriad of mysteries that science hasn’t even attempted to unravel. I also beleive that science shows us HOW God did what He did, not that He couldn’t have done it. Even the mainstream evolutionists are confounded by the sheer impossibility that all this has "happened" out of a mere series of events. They are now giving a nod to "intellegent design". Anyway, I dont think either side has is all figured out yet. I’m excited by science, and enjoy hearing the new theories and discoveries that are made every day, by the modern geniuses in white coats!

I’m a Christian (a Catholic particularly) and I don’t believe such ‘theories’ to be true. Religion is religion and science is science, they have nothing against each other, and those from both camps opposing each other for whatever reason are just a bunch of fundamentalists.

Scientists work to prove their theories so we can understand the workings of the world more. without science we would still believe the world is flat and that the universe revolves around the Earth.
as to your question about attempting to disprove Christianity i have a few problems.
1, if your faith is so strong why would you be so worried that Science is going to "disprove" Christianity.
2, Why is it only Christianity that the scientists would disprove? im sure that if they found conclusive evidence that it was a big bang theory type of start to our universe then it would kind of disprove every religion out there that believes in any type of Genesis style creation of the earth? i think its kind of narrowminded to think its just Christianity that believes the world was made by a God or a series of events created by God, or Gods.
3, the amount of time they spend on scientific research is what has given us the greatest amount of understanding in every field. So whats wrong with that?
4, if you continue to want to stop scientific research because you believe that God made everything and controls everything then i feel like it would be a very sad world indeed.
and in repsonse to your initial question:
NO the scientific community doesnt do what they do JUST to disprove Christianity (or any religion), however i think they have already pretty much done that already. evolution has been proved to a degree, and creationisms only vote of confidence is a book that was written 2 thousand years ago and through stories passed down through a millenia of generations.
use critical thinking, and push the boundaries of knowledge, dont relax thinking that 2,000 years ago they hit the nail on the head.

I respect science and scientists and no, I don’t believe there is a mass conspiracy among the scientific community to disprove Christianity.
I personally know a Harvard physicist who is a believer. I feel any disproving is an individual thing, just as belief is.
References :
No, because there are scientists who are Christian. Just like other scientists who are of other religions, and some whom are not. No conspiracy.

Disproving Christianity would involve proving that Jesus Christ was not resurrected from the dead. Proving that he was or was not raised from the dead is physically impossible after his ascension. The only thing supporting it is the testimony of Christians that saw him alive after death. Since these people are all dead now, you cannot get a direct witness.
So, I don’t know why science would try to disprove Christianity or any other religion for that matter. That is not the goal of science. The goal of science is knowledge, not wisdom or spiritual knowledge.
Some people try to use science to disprove religion, but that is impossible. That is using a physical science to try to disprove something that is not physical in nature, but spiritual.

I’ve been a scientist most of my adult life, and I have no interest in trying to disprove any religion. I believe in God, but I also have no interest in organized religion. I’ve found that most religions have little to do with God in terms of where I think they should focus their works. I do not go out of my way to discredit Christians or tell others what to do. I say be an individual.
This is only my personal experience, and that is all. I feel humble about what I’ve done in this life and what I will do.
I believe most scientists are committed to finding out scientific truths because studying, learning and exploring makes them feel alive, happy, and able to understand everything around us and beyond. Some of them may focus more on Christians because Christians focus so much on trying to discredit science. My problem is understanding persons who can’t somehow see that both can co-exist together, and dealing with the fact that both put so much energy into hate instead of putting that misdirected energy into positive work which benefits mankind.

Human beings change all the time but the word of God remains the same yesterday, today and forever. Many people down through the centuries have tried to disprove the bible many devout atheists and in the process have converted to Christ. That’s the power of the Gospel of The Lord Jesus Christ.
